HOW HAS THE STUDIO RESPONDED TO COVID?

Safety in the studio has always been a top priority. During the studio's closure we have taken the time to deeply clean and disinfect equipment, props, springs, handles, and all commonly used areas. An air purifier with a three-stage filter: pre-filter, medical grade H13 HEPA, and a carbon filter for odors has been placed in the studio. This air purifier removes 99.97% of particles and cleans a 420 sq ft room in 15 minutes (our space is roughly 650 sq ft). 


We will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC, State, and Government officials as new data become available. We are in constant communication with studios across the globe and will implement changes we find beneficial to our space/community.

Studio operations and safety questions

WILL SESSION TIMES BE ADJUSTED?

Going forward all sessions will be adjusted to 50 minutes in length in order to ensure adequate time for cleaning up. Clients will be asked to clean their own equipment and props before and after each use.


WHAT ARE THE STUDIO'S DISTANCING GUIDELINES?

The studio's layout has changed to optimize use of the space and make distancing easier for all. An additional barrier placed on all equipment surfaces and medical grade saran on handles and props will prevent direct skin contact. We will  put additional measures in place to prevent the same piece of equipment to be used for two consecutive sessions. 


HOW WILL THE STUDIO CONTROL THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN THE SPACE?

At this moment, only one instructor and upto 2 clients will be allowed in the studio at a time with all semi-private sessions restricted only to members of the same household. 


CAN I ARRIVE EARLY?

We understand that some clients like to arrive early to stretch and warm-up before the start of their session. During this time, however, clients arriving early to their session will be asked to wait outside the studio until the room has been cleaned and cleared, or when directed by the instructor. 


WHAT WILL I BE ALLOWED TO BRING?

Clients should limit items brought into the studio to the following:

  • personal workout towel, water, and socks.  


HOW WILL THE STUDIO DISINFECT EQUIPMENT?

Here are the steps to cleaning based on recommendations  provided by our equipment manufacturer, as well as the EPA:  

  1. First, wipe with soap and water solution. We are doing away with shared towels and will provide disposable paper towels. Spray the towel first and not the equipment itself. 
  2. Spray with an EPA-approved disinfectant (bleach or alcohol-based solution) directly onto surfaces and leave to air dry. 

*At the end of each day, the studio will be sprayed with a bleach or alcohol solution. Instructors will cross-check a daily log at the beginning of the next business day to ensure the disinfecting and changing of saran wraps on handles and bars. 


DO I NEED TO WEAR A MASK?

Everyone in the studio is required to wear a mask at all times.

Instructors Safety protocols

DO YOU HAVE A WELLNESS PROCEDURE FOR ALL INSTRUCTORS?

Instructors  will perform a self temperature check at the beginning of each work day, wash hands before and after sessions and will monitor for any COVID symptoms. While teaching on the floor instructors must wear a mask and keep a safe distance. Spotting will be very minimal and gloves will provide an extra barrier if spotting is needed. Clients will be responsible for all spring changes, setup and break down of all exercises/equipment.

Questions on studio policy

WHAT HAPPENS TO SESSIONS/PACKAGE PURCHASED BEFORE THE CLOSURE?

Sessions purchased before the closure are non-refundable and will not expire. We will honor all sessions purchased before the COVID closures until everyone has returned and business is operating normally. Clients will be informed in writing should there be a change in this policy.


WHAT ABOUT LATE CANCELLATIONS?

We will accept cancellations made within 12 hours of a scheduled session. To avoid the late cancellation fee, clients will have the option to switch to a virtual session.


ARE YOU ASKING CLIENTS TO SIGN ANY SORT OF ACKNOWLEDGEMENT THAT THEY WILL NOT VISIT THE STUDIO IF THEY ARE SICK?

Clients will all have to complete a self-declaration form/waiver attesting that they have not experienced one or more severe symptoms associated with COVID-19 within 14 days of the session date, and will advise the studio if they have come in contact with the Coronavirus.  Anyone with a  temperature over 100.4 degrees will not be permitted in the studio. 


Phasing into the new normal

Will I BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TRAINING VIRTUALLY?

Contrology Studio will continue to offer virtual sessions and classes. As technology becomes available, we look forward to creating more digital content specific to our studio's clientele/trends.
